Find your role

Box Office & Ticketing

Welcome guests, manage pass redemptions, and ensure smooth entry at all venues across the festival.

Guest-facing
Screening Support

Usher audiences, assist with Q&A sessions, liaise with filmmakers, and manage screening room logistics.

In-theatre
Media & Photography

Capture the moments that define iSAFF — red carpet arrivals, filmmaker portraits, and audience reactions.

Creative
Social Media & Content

Tell the story of iSAFF in real time — create posts, stories, and live coverage across our channels.

Be part of the most glamorous nights of the festival — assist at the Opening Night and the Red Carpet Gala.

Free festival screenings

Access to screenings on your off-shift days throughout the full five-day festival.

What to expect

How it works

Step 1Apply
Submit your application

Fill out the volunteer application form with your availability, preferred roles, and any relevant experience. Applications open in June 2026.

Step 2Confirm
Receive your placement

The volunteer coordinator will match you with a role and shifts that fit your availability. You'll hear back within two weeks of applying.

Step 3Prepare
Attend orientation

Join an online or in-person orientation session the week before the festival. You'll meet your team and get a full briefing on your role.

Show up and be part of iSAFF

Join the team across five days at venues in Guildford, Surrey. Minimum commitment is two shifts. Longer commitments are warmly welcomed.

Before you apply

Who we're looking for

You should be ready to
  • Commit to a minimum of two shifts (approx. 4–5 hrs each)
  • Attend a pre-festival orientation session
  • Work collaboratively with a diverse team
  • Be 16 years of age or older
  • Be available in-person in Surrey, BC
No experience needed in
  • Film production or the film industry
  • Event management or festivals
  • South Asian languages or culture
  • Technical or AV skills

A genuine love of film and a welcoming attitude is all you need. We provide training for every role.
