VISION

iSAFF is committed to contributing towards a strong, diverse, and inclusive Canadian society. Through arts and culture that play a critical role in strengthening communities and economies, iSAFF pursues progressive, innovative, and inclusive ways to celebrate South Asian stories, artists, and filmmakers of South Asian descent, and connect them to a global audience.

Our Values

Diversity – Recognize and celebrate underrepresented South Asian artists, film industry professionals, and stories.
Integrity – Build trust with communities and be a champion of films, arts, and culture.
Inclusion – Include diverse voices to promote free expression and cross-cultural understanding.
Collaboration – Work with diverse stakeholders to combat intolerance and maximize positive social impact.

iSAFF proudly acknowledges that we are located on the unceded, traditional, and ancestral territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the Semiahmoo, Katzie, Kwikwetlem, Kwantlen, Qayqayt, and Tsawwassen First Nations. We are deeply grateful to live, create, and share stories on these lands. As a festival dedicated to amplifying diverse voices and bridging cultures through film, we honor the rich traditions, histories, and ongoing contributions of Indigenous communities. We commit to fostering meaningful connections and celebrating the power of storytelling to unite us all.
